Raeanna Johnson is a native of Holmen, WI and represented the title of Miss Madison-Capital City at the 2014 Miss Wisconsin Pageant. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Organizational and Professional Communication Studies and Women and Gender Studies. With her $10,100 scholarship she earned as Miss Wisconsin 2014 and total of $34,000 throughout her journey in the Miss America Organization, she plans to achieve a graduate degree in philanthropy and development.
Raeanna was awarded a preliminary talent award with her lyrical dance en pointe to Alexandra Burke’s rendition of “Hallelujah” at the 2014 pageant. She has 12 years of dance training at Misty’s Dance Unlimited, spending 4 years of high school on MDU’s highly-esteemed performance company. Raeanna was a dance instructor for three years and the head coach of Aquinas High School dance team for two years. During those years the team earned high honors at the State Competition. Dancing is a passion for Raeanna and a means of sharing her heart and story with an audience.
Coming from a large family of seven children with additional step-siblings and in-laws, Raeanna truly appreciates the meanings of individuality and self-discipline. As the second in line she has had the joy of watching her five younger siblings grow into unique young adults with many talents and aspirations. She is thrilled to watch them grow into quality members of society and ready to cheer them on as they continue to succeed in their education and career endeavors. Raeanna attributes her success to her parents, siblings, extended family, and the endless flow of support from friends.
During her journey as Miss Wisconsin 2014 Raeanna will travel the state promoting Miss America’s National Platform of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. She will visit children and families who benefit from the tremendous generosity of CMNh and promote the Race to 100K with the 2014 CMNh Heros.
